The Club Trip to Bruges has a small number of places still available.
This ever popular spring trip normally gets booked up very quickly and when the places are gone there is no way to increase them as the coach is already booked.
Details are on the web site and on the club noticeboard and you can book on either. So don't miss out on a great weekend.

A few weeks ago I met Chris Furner during Happy Hour. Chris is a recently joined temporary member and new sailor who was about to engage upon his RYA Competent Crew Course. We met again at Happy hour a week later and with Chris displaying a new found air of competence and raring to go sailing, we talked of the Lymington Rally. Marilyn & I had previously invited friends who had to back out unexpectedly, so we invited Chris along. Marilyn appreciated having an extra pair of hands on board (less work, more sunbathing) and I appreciated having an enthusiastic crew.

I used to think that August Bank Holiday weekends were best spent at home or in the local pub. Well no longer. The Solent Rally has added a new dimension for me. Well two actually.
The first was that I had somewhere to travel to and park the boat, whilst enjoying the company of other club members in the manner that only RAFYC rallies provides. And at two destinations to boot, with a fun race in between. O.K. marinas with lock gates may not be ideal, but they are a good option on busy bank holiday weekends.

On Saturday 27th June, the RAFYC held a “Scramble in the Hamble” – a day of fun, food, rounders and water-fights. My family and I went along, thinking that it could be nice to get to know some new people, and, by the end of it, found ourselves soaked to the skin and high with adrenaline and laughter.
